So today was my second day on the job, I'm teaching phys ed every day until christmas, and social studies a couple times a week. I'm more excited to teach social studies now since the gym class I am assigned to teach has 37 students... WHYYYYY?? how am i supposed to teach lacrosse to 37 students!? about 35 of them hated it and said it would be better with contact. there were tons of subs in the game which goes against everything we learn in phys ed.
overall the students at my school are great. my social studies class is full of awesome students and we are currently doing a unit on diversity and pluralism... you mean.... yatta actually taught me something useful? im excited to start teaching social studies, and like i said my gym class is ridiculously over capacity. in my gym class i also have two deaf/hard of hearing students (who are among my best students as I have about 5 students who don't even bother to change or participate... why bother coming...) and one exchange student who does not speak a word of English.
I will update you guys again next week after I'm done teaching a couple classes of social studies and am observed by my advisor :/
