Hey everyone,
So this week has been pretty good so far. Before today I had done a lot of just observing in the classroom and hadn't been in charge yet but that all changed today. Was told about a minute before class started that I would be in charge of the class for the last 45 minutes. My CT taught a quick lesson and then had to leave and left the rest to me and gave me a stack of assignments to mark. I honestly couldn't have been more excited but turns out that one of my students has a severe case ADD and apparently his meds don't help too much. Boy did I experience that today, he was all over the walls and I had to settle him down numerous times (I only found out after class that he has been diagnosed with ADD). The principle said that he peaked in a couple times and said that it looked like I had things under control so that was good to hear. Anyways I don't really start any teaching till next week but I am excited about it. I have 2 phys ed classes, grade 9 and 12, grade 9 math and grade 11 essential math so I'm pretty happy with those classes. Look forward to hearing all your stories!!!!
