So tomorrow my faculty advisor is coming in to the gym and watching me teach. I am excited but nervous at the same time. We are doing a badminton unit right now which is definitely not my favorite sport and a lot of kids don't really enjoy it either so I'm going to try and make the class a little more fun and teach it my way. I am a little nervous because my CT has a very traditional way of teaching so I hope she will like the way I present the lesson. This is also the first time that I am actually teaching a whole class so that makes me nervous as well, the fact the my faculty advisor is watching me teach my first EVER class!!
Today my other CT is away so a sub is coming in but the funny thing is is that my CT gave control of the class to me. Since all my students are doing is writing a test it shouldn't be bad but it's funny that they bring a sub in for that...anyways, hearing everyone's experiences and stories is comforting because I know that I am not alone and we are all in this together!!
Hey Buddy. Great to hear from you. My first lesson was in front of my advisor too. I was a bit nervous till one of my friends in second year told me to just be myself and teach how I would teach it. We aren't getting marked on it, it's just feedback. When we teach our own class, we're going to teach it our way. Might as well see what they have to say right now. You'll do fine dude. Can't wait to hear how it goes.
