Hey Everyone
First and foremost, I miss you guys so I'm really looking forward to seeing you guys for the Grey Cup party and our Christmas party. I could probably write a page or two on here but I'll show you a clip from a grade 8 phys ed class. They aren't in my schedule but I just show up a couple of days a rotation (they have a 6 day rotation) and hang out. Today the girls were swimming so it was just the grade 8 boys. There was about 30 of them. I warmed them up from 4 corner soccer (idea from our group presentations last wed) and then we got right into floor hockey. At times they are had to get quiet and sit still but you say floor hockey and they go nuts. I enjoyed watched these kids go at it and saw some great goals. Yesterday I got beat really bad by a kid that scored 6 goals in a 3 mins game. Pretty cool to watch the other 5 goals haha. Next week I start to teach a grade 10 class 4 out of 6 days and my CT said that he wanted me to do a basketball unit......um.....fine, I'll do it. It just so happens that try outs start next week too. Beautiful.
PS A bit nervous to teach science but will start next week with the heart for grade 8's. Ah well no better place to learn.

ReplyDeleteWe realy do apprecaiate how well you motivate people. I hope that my kids(yet to be conceved oh yeah) get an oppertinity to have you (or a teacher like you)in their school experiance. Keep it going. Love the energy only two starrs for you mitch. no need for the rainbow.
